overview

A newly created art program at Joseph’s Home has provided an unexpected creative outlet for the residents. Each Saturday, William M. Denihan, former Chair of Joseph’s Home Board of Trustees, provides art instruction and demonstration to residents who are interested in participating.

In addition to painting, residents are also engaged in group discussions about the artists or method of art they are currently studying as well as their feelings or personal experiences with art. The men plan to sell their masterpieces at small arts and crafts shows and events, such as St. John West Shore’s annual Festival of the Arts. Please check back here to see where you could find art created by the men at Joseph’s Home.
