Joseph’s Home Luncheon Enjoyed by All
Over 240 guests gathered on June 30 to join staff and residents as they celebrated the 10th anniversary of Joseph’s Home with a festive and colorful luncheon held at Windows on the River. For the past decade this important ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System has served some of Cleveland’s most vulnerable residents. Guests enjoyed both a visual and gastronomic feast as they enjoyed an art show and auction featuring the works of Joseph’s Home’s residents who have participated in the Resident Art Program.
The originator of the program and former board chair, William M. Denihan, received a plaque recognizing his ongoing efforts directing the art classes and encouraging the residents to explore the joys of artistic expression. One special painting was a portrait of Sr. Joan Gallagher, CSA, presented to her in honor of her position as the first Executive Director of Joseph’s Home and a driving force in establishing the facility. The painting created by one of the current residents surprised and delighted Sr. Joan who invited the artist on stage for recognition.

Sr. Joan Gallagher receives her portrait in appreciation of her tireless work with Joseph’s Home over the last 10 years. The portrait was painted by Mr. Hill, a Joseph’s Home resident.
Guests also enjoyed a premier showing of Joseph’s Home new video which shares testimonials from residents as well as the compelling story of this important and vital ministry.
We deeply appreciate the support of everyone who joined us at the luncheon. We also want to extend our thanks to the following sponsors for their support:
