Michael W. Tribble, Resident Coach at Joseph’s Home passed away March 8, 2010. Mike had been an employee of Joseph’s Home since 2003 and had always thought of the agency as his “happy place”. He always said that he loved coming here to work because it gave him the opportunity to laugh and joke with the residents and really get to know them on an individual basis. Although he took his job seriously as Resident Coach, he often said that he had so much fun at it that he would work for no pay if he had to. He was always willing to go the extra mile for the residents, coming in on his off hours or when he had time to get away from his other job to help out Joseph’s Home or one of the residents of our agency. He always felt that his main job duty was to be fully present with the residents, talking to them about whatever they needed or wanted to talk about. He reinforced to them how fortunate they were to be at Joseph’s Home. He also loved to bring people here for a tour, he was just that proud of the agency.
As he began the fight for his health, he still insisted on coming into work, although his condition made it very difficult to do very many things. The residents frequently pitched in helping him with whatever he needed help with. Sometimes he came to Joseph’s Home during the day, just to be around everyone, because he felt so comfortable here. We mourn his loss, but his spirit will always be with us.
Georgette Jackson
Executive Director.
